Sofa.com Pop Up Showroom – Kilver Court
Sofa.com will soon be opening a lovely new pop-up store in Kilver Court. We are looking for positive, fun, reliable and hardworking Sales Team Members to join our pop-up team in our new temporary showroom. As a member of our Sales Team you will be the first point of contact with our customers, and will spend your time advising them on the best possible sofa, armchair or bed that suits their needs! You should thrive in a customer service environment, always going above and beyond for our lovely customers. We’re looking for someone who’s ambitious and confident, with a strong can-do attitude who loves working within a team. Some experience in a sales advisor role is desirable but not essential, and it would be a bonus if you have a passion for interior design/art. We are recruiting for both full-time and part-time positions, all of which would require weekend availability. This role will be offered on a temporary 6 month contract starting in October, with the possibility of that being extended for longer than 6 months. Retail Manager for The Great House and Wiggly Shed
We are looking for an experienced, sales driven retailer to take on the challenging and diverse role of Manager of our homeware/gift/food shop ‘The Great House’ and also our garden shop and plant nursery ‘The Wiggly Shed’ at Kilver Court. This is a shop floor based role; the main purpose of which is to drive sales, direct the team and continue to grow the business. Duties will involve:

- Delivering exceptional customer service
- Applying commercial skills to meet agreed sales targets
- Day to day shop management including setting of rotas
- Motiving and training the team to ensure consistently great customer service
- Implementing and maintaining high retail standards
- Effective store merchandising and visual merchandising
- Working with the merchandiser and buyer to manage deliveries and ensure good stock levels, stock policy and shrinkage
- Identifying areas of weakness and opportunities for new stock lines
- Maximising product margin
- Communicating with a diverse range of brand partners

Hours and Environment:
- This is a full time role, needing flexibility and involving working rota’d weekends and bank holidays

Skills required:
- Good salesmanship and a proven ability to sell
- The ability to work as part of a team as a leader and motivator
- Excellent communication and 'people' skills
- A strong commitment to customer service
- The ability to work under pressure, handle challenging situations
- Confidence, drive and enthusiasm
- Decision-making ability and a sense of responsibility
- Highest standards of customer service and expectation

Commis Chef/Kitchen Assistant  
The Sharpham Pantry Restaurant has a new team, a new menu and new management, but we still have a place for a Commis Chef/Kitchen Assistant to join our busy kitchen. We believe in delivering delicious, home-made food using organic and locally sourced products wherever possible, with spelt being at the core of our dishes. We are looking for a Commis Chef who is talented and eager to learn from our experienced Head Chef. The successful candidate will be required to work some weekends but there will be only a few evening shifts.
