The Plant Nursery

alt
The nursery at Kilver Court is managed by Ian and Teresa Moss.

They are specialist growers of hardy and unusual plants, which they grow at their production site nearby in Somerset. They are really passionate about what they do, and have built an excellent reputation for the quality of both their plants and their service. Their range includes the best of the most recent introductions, as well as rare and unusual varieties and reliable old favourites.  The plants are all home-grown, using the minimum of winter protection, and no heat. They take pride in producing plants of the highest quality that will establish well in your garden and which are also excellent value for money.

Ian and Teresa exhibit their plants at over 50 shows throughout the year, ranging from prestigious national shows such as the RHS Spring Shows in Cardiff and Malvern, through to specialist plant sales and Rare Plant Fairs. Until now their plants have only been available at these shows, but plant enthusiasts will now also have the opportunity to buy their plants throughout the growing season at the Kilver Court nursery.

The nursery at Kilver Court offers a good selection from their range, with the focus on plants that are of seasonal interest. Sales are backed up with friendly help and advice, either from Ian and Teresa themselves, or from the garden team. Customers can also preorder plants from their full catalogue range for collection from the nursery. As they are a specialist nursery, many plants are only produced in small numbers, so if you are seeking a particular plant, or wish to visit the nursery on a day when Ian or Teresa are there in person, please telephone a few days in advance of coming to check. Contact details and the catalogue can be found at www.hardyandunusualplants.co.uk.

The nursery is located just outside the garden entrance and is open from 23rd March until 31st October during normal garden opening hours.
You can visit the nursery without having to buy an admission ticket for the Gardens.
