Famous for beautifully hand crafted leatherwork, Mulberry has set an industry standard in the UK since the early 1970’s and has a long history at Kilver Court through its creator Roger Saul.

Mulberry’s history is steeped in luxury leather craftsmanship. Founded in 1971 in the sleepy countryside, nestled among the rural towns and rolling fields of Somerset, England, Mulberry has built a reputation for balancing creativity and modernity with the traditions of leather craft and manufacture to inspire and delight customers across the world.

During the decades of the Seventies and Eighties Mulberry was considered the first luxury lifestyle brand, pioneering the desire for Le Style Anglais. That quintessentially English attitude to country attire elevated the brand’s reputation for rural craftsmanship and style with personality, with collections including quilted fishing and poacher bags and classic outerwear.

Beautifully crafted leather bags are why Mulberry is now internationally known and desired. The start of the 21st century saw the birth of one of the biggest bag icons, the Bayswater, and many years and reincarnations later it is still a beloved and best-selling style.

Mulberry’s creative family tree includes a list of highly-regarded individuals who have helped to shape the brand, starting with founder Roger Saul and including Luella Bartley, Nicholas Knightly, Giles Deacon, Kim Jones and Stuart Vevers. The current creative director is Emma Hill.
