Spelt Tor

Spelt from
Sharpham Park

We stock the entire range of Sharpham Park spelt products. This includes breakfast cereals, spelt grain, flour and risotto blends.

They are all made with our wonder grain spelt, farmed organically at Sharpham Park. A delicious range of bread is made for us by local artisan bakers Lievito, using Sharpham Park spelt flour. The bread is made using traditional methods by a team of devoted bakers, producing crusty loaves of the highest standards which are delivered daily.

Sharpham Park Farm is a 300 acre organic estate set deep in the Somerset countryside. The Estate is owned by Roger Saul, the founder of British designer label Mulberry, who takes pride in adopting sustainable and organic farming techniques. A range of rare breed cattle, sheep and red deer graze at the park, just as they would have in medieval times.

It is here that they grow and mill spelt, an ancient cousin of wheat with many health and nutritional benefits, as well as a delicious nutty taste. Using their West Country spelt they have created a selection of tasty products: the best breakfast cereals, spelt flour, and pearled spelt - which is a fantastic rice alternative and makes a great 'speltotto'.

The Sharpham Park food brand has been forged by a passion for responsibly farmed, healthy and natural food produced using a combination of traditional methods and modern technology.

Roger Saul and his team at Sharpham Park have been working closely with Bowel Cancer UK to raise awareness of the charity and the fact that a high fibre diet can reduce the risk of Bowel Cancer.

On 1st April, they launched a tasty collection of High Fibre recipes, generously donated by 30 famous culinary friends including: Sophie Dahl, The Hairy Bikers, the Fabulous Baker Brothers, Gizzi Erskine, Brendan Lynch, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Heston Blumenthal, Mark Hix, Yotam Ottolenghi, Edd Kimber, Sophie Michell and many more.
