afternoon tea week.
Monday 10th - Sunday 16th August.Calling all Afternoon Tea fanatics! For one week only we are celebrating the great heritage of the quintessentially British, Afternoon Tea.
Introduced in Britain in the early 1840s, it evolved as a mini meal to stem the hunger and anticipation of an evening meal at 8pm. Afternoon Tea is a meal composed of sandwiches (usually cut delicately into 'fingers'), scones with clotted cream and jam, sweet pastries and cakes.
Visit The Sharpham Park Pantry Restaurant at Kilver Court 2:30-4pm during this week to enjoy a 'Traditional Afternoon Tea'. Please book ahead to avoid disappointment on 01749 340 363.
