In 1866, 150 years ago, next year, John Magee opened a small drapers shop in Donegal, Ireland buying and selling handwoven tweed.His cousin, John Temple joined him some 14 years later, after impressing john magee with his sales ability.
In 1900, John Temple bought the company and together with his son Howard, who joined the family firm in 1930, developed the business selling suits and jackets throughout Ireland and the UK.
In 1974, Lynn Temple, the current chairman joined and has taken the company to where it is today - a weaving business selling luxury fabrics worldwide, a clothing business selling menswear and womenswear three retail outlets in ireland and an online business and now, an outlet shop at Kilver Court.
Lynn's daughter, Charlotte joined the company in 2008 and Patrick, her brother joined in 2012. 4 generations in control the family values of quality, creativity, loyalty and integrity established 150 years ago are still upheld 3 and 4 generations later.
